MakerFest is a FREE event!

What can I expect?

MakerFest is an event where makers can show off what they have made and how they made it. Think of it as a big-show-and-tell event. It provides an opportunity for people to gather, connect, and explore the processes, products, and joys of making. MakerFest includes exhibits, demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on activities.

The Pierce CollegSCI-DOME-EDITED-SMALL1e Science Dome, the South Sound’s only digital planetarium, will be open during MakerFest with FREE shows! The Science Dome is a relatively new cultural landmark unique to Pierce County, and a highlight of the MakerFest experience.

MakerFest is for folks of all ages. Please be aware that some Makers may have materials that can be a potential safety hazard. Makers may also display equipment that is fragile or expensive to replace. Young children must be monitored by a responsible adult at all times.
